What’s different about us?
We’re friendly
We’re a very small family business, operating out of our house, and we don't try to be anything else.
While you will have to put up with walking past our son’s Lego and train-tracks, we think that you’ll be glad you did.
We only have 6 or 7 students on each course, so we get to know you and your needs, and we can treat you as an individual.
We care
We have high standards, and will do our very best to ensure that you love whatever you make!
Everybody’s skill level is different, but here’s a link to a gallery of some student work.
While we will definitely encourage you to build some small projects or construct your items in certain ways (so that you learn the skills you need) you can choose what you want to make. If it’s impossible, we’ll break it to you gently, but usually we find a way to get you making what you want to make.
And if you don’t know what to create, don’t worry – we’ve got tons of ideas and examples!
We’re flexible
If you're on one of our 6-week courses, and have to miss a session, we don't think it's fair for you to lose time and money.
So if you do, we’ll let you do one free make-up session per course in our open studio.

If you can't make it to a one-off workshop and give us some warning, then we will try to fill your space. If it's a last minute thing, you can always send a friend instead!
Our studio
We designed and built our studio ourselves. In our loft!
It’s custom-made to have everything you need close to hand.
We also wanted it to be a warm, cosy, inviting space.
Our students tell us that time goes very quickly up there, and we agree!
So if you want a warm, friendly, homely environment, genuinely tailored to your needs, we might well be right for you!
